Five NCC cadets from 7 H.P. (I) Company National Cadet Corps (NCC) Shimla were selected to participate in the “Army AttachmentTraining Camp”, who returned to Shimla here on Thursday after successful training from the 15-day “Army Attachment Training Camp”. Commanding Officer Col. D.R. Gargey feliciated and eulogied these cadets at office of 7 H.P. (I) CoY NCC Shimla for their excellent performance and then their selection in the “Army Attachment Training Camp”. Col. Gargey boosted cadets’ morale high that sincerely to achieve success in any field of life, It takes hard work, discipline and passion and there are no shortcuts to success. “The purpose of Army Attachment Training Camp is to inculcate discipline, national unity, integrity, patriotism and resolve among the cadets and make the cadets aware of the nuances of the Army, the life style of the Army and activities of the Army which make the cadets full of aplomb to achieve their goals “, said Commabding officer Col. D.R. Gagey. In addition, training is imparted in many subjects like PT, Drill, WeaponTraining, Management, Communication Skills, Battle-craft, Map Reading etc. However, the same training is imparted to the Cadets in NCC camps also but training in Army Attachment Training camp makes the morale of the cadets more high to hone them for their future soldiers as well. Cadet Saurabh Sharma from Sanjauli College, Cadet Anshul Kanwar from Kotshehra College, Cadet Harsh Jamalta, Cadet Sujal Kanwar from Theog College and Cadet Under Officer Rahul Kumar Tiwari from APG Shimla University were selected in Army Attachment Training Camp. These cadets told that during this camp along with other cadets, army officers also taught about disaster management, fire fighting, personality development.”It was a blithely and captivated experience with army personnel to learn the role of Indian Army for the services of the nation and defend the nation against the foes and safe the borders”, told the cadets. Selected other cadets who hail from various NCC units of Himachal participated in this camp.
