PM Modi’s visit to Chamba district has been fixed. Modi will visit Chamba on October 13. Earlier he was scheduled to come here on October 14. Chief Secretary RD Dhiman said that there has been a change in the Prime Minister’s visit to Chamba. Assembly elections are proposed to be held in Himachal Pradesh in November. In such a situation, this visit of PM Modi is considered very important for the BJP.
Third tour fixed in 20 days
PM Modi’s visit to Mandi was first scheduled on 24 September in the election time. But due to rain, he could not come and he addressed the rally virtually. After this, on October 5, the PM visited Bilaspur and Kullu. Addressed the rally at Luhnu Maidan after gifting other projects including AIIMS in Bilaspur. After this, the deity was seen in Kullu Dussehra.
To launch Holi Bajoli Project and Prime Minister’s Village Road Scheme
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Holi-Bajoli hydroelectric project, built by the private sector JSW company. Modi will launch the third phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, roads are to be connected to the villages in Himachal at a cost of crores of rupees.
Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of 48 MW Chanju Phase III and 30 MW Dayothal Chanju Hydroelectric Projects. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for both these projects in the year 2015. A day earlier, the cabinet has allotted the work of both the hydroelectric projects.
