From Thursday, the school of Himachal Pradesh will return to its glory. Regular classes will be held in schools from February 17 for students of classes I to XII. A micro plan has been made in every school under the SOP fixed to prevent corona infection. Wearing of face masks will be mandatory in schools. Prayer meetings and sports activities will be banned as before. There will be a ban on serving mid-day meals in schools. The Directorate of Preliminary has sought approval from the government regarding this. The new academic session will start in winter schools from Thursday to class I to VIII.
Syllabus will be revised before the examinations of non-board classes in summer schools. In summer schools, from March 14 to 23, the examinations of non-board classes will be held in schools only. In these schools, the first, second, fourth, sixth and seventh class examinations are to be held. There will be examinations in all government and private schools affiliated to the State Board of School Education. On the other hand, the Board of School Education will take the examinations of class III, V and VIII from this year.
These examinations will also be held in schools only. Classes will be held under Corona SOP in schools going to open for students from class 1st to 8th from February 17. Lunch break and commute times will vary class-wise. One student will be seated on a bench in the classrooms. According to the capacity of the room, only fifty percent of the students will be seated in a class. The rest of the students’ class will be held in another room.
Winter vacations were given in summer schools till January 7, 2022. The government had closed schools till 26 January as the cases of corona infection increased. After this, it was decided to keep the school closed again till 31 January. From February 3, classes for students of classes IX to 12 have been started in summer schools. Holidays have already been given in winter schools till February 15. February 16 is a government holiday.
In such a situation, from Thursday, schools will also open for students from classes 1 to 8 in summer and winter schools. Director of Higher Education Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma said that it has been made mandatory for teachers and students to wear face masks. Admission will be given in school premises after thermal screening. Adequate arrangement of hand sanitizer and soap will also be made in schools.
