The Lord Indrunag, the god of rain, was completely blessed by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA). After nearly four years at the International Cricket Stadium, Dharamsala, no match was successful without rain. While rain and snowfall continued throughout the day across the state, the weather remained completely clear in Dharamsala after 10 am on Saturday. However, during this time the weather kept changing from moment to moment and sometimes it was cloudy and sometimes it was sunny. Meanwhile, the ground staff kept getting a chance to drain out the water that had accumulated in the ground after the rain since Friday night. At the HPCA ground, the ground staff started removing the tarpaulins from the ground around 2.30 pm and got involved in making the ground playable. During this, super sopers were also taken along with the ground staff to dry the rain water in the ground.
Earlier in the year 2019 and 2020, two matches with India- South Africa were canceled due to incessant rain. Although there was a shadow of rain in the match on Saturday, but the weather supported this time. The spectators were also thrilled as soon as the first ball hit the ground. On the other hand, Team India got off to a bad start at the International Cricket Stadium, Dharamsala. In the very first over, Team India was shocked by the total score of nine runs in the form of captain Rohit Sharma (1). Ishan Kishan, who was the hero of the Lucknow match to bat after Rohit’s dismissal, also could not do much for Team India and he too got out on the total score of 44 runs for Team India. Ishaan scored 16 runs in 15 balls, which included two fours. After this Shreyas Iyer kept one end of Team India.
