In Himachal Pradesh, it rained way less in the month of March, while the heat and temperature have also set new dimensions. Record mercury has been recorded in many areas of the state. The data has been released by the Meteorological Center of Shimla, Himachal. According to the data, after 14 years, March has the least rain. Also, in the month of March, the heat has broken records in Keylong, Kangra, Dharamsala, Solan, Manali and Shimla of Lahaul-Spiti. On Friday also, a yellow alert has been issued for heat wave in the plains and central hill districts of the state. The weather forecast is to remain clear in the state till April 4, on Thursday, Una recorded a maximum temperature of 39 degree Celsius. During March, the state has received 95 percent less rainfall than normal this year. Earlier in the year 2008, 96 percent less rainfall than normal was recorded in March.
