Himachal Pradesh is the first state among the hill states where electric buses are being successfully operated, which is helping in keeping the environment clean as well. Electrical Vehicle Policy-2021 has been implemented in the state. Under this, now the state government or its people will not have to look from other states to buy parts of electric vehicles. Under this policy, an Electrical Vehicle Component Manufacturing Park will be set up in the state with the help of the Government of India. Right now the state government has discussed with the central government to make this park. As soon as the Central Government gets its approval, the location for setting up of Electrical Vehicle Component Manufacturing Park in Himachal will be decided and work will start on it.
Transport and Industries Minister Bikram Thakur said that 220 new buses are being added to the fleet of Himachal Road Transport Corporation in the month of April. He said that in the coming financial year, 200 new buses would be purchased by the corporation, in which there is a provision to buy 50 small electric buses under the Smart City Mission. He said that the construction work of 7 new bus stands has been completed in the state, while 8 new bus stands will be constructed. He said that the State Government was working for the development of every area with a dedicated spirit. Every MLA worries about taking forward his assembly constituency. Make sincere efforts to implement new schemes of public welfare in your constituency. He said that the Central and State Governments are doing special work in the direction of women empowerment and most of the schemes are being made keeping in mind the welfare of women. State Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has presented a public welfare and people-friendly budget in the interest of the state, due to which all sections of the state are getting benefits. He called upon the workers to take all the public welfare schemes and policies of the government to the common man so that the needy people can get their benefits.
