Kulbhushan Manta, a resident of Gonth, Majhauli Panchayat of Kupvi in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh, was cremated with state honors in his native village on Saturday. The army and police gave the last salute to the martyr. Thousands of people attended the funeral procession of the martyr. Neetu, the wife of a brave soldier, saluted the martyr husband and gave her last farewell.
Kulbhushan was martyred during an encounter with a terrorist in the forests of Taripora and Sultanpora of Baramulla. According to the information received from the relatives, during the search operation, Kulbhushan had a bullet in his leg.
After this soldiers brought him to Baramulla Hospital of the army. He went into a coma due to excessive bleeding. In view of his critical condition, he was immediately rushed to the main army hospital, Srinagar.
Kulbhushan martyred during treatment in the hospital. On behalf of the administration, Sub Divisional Officer of Kupvi, Narayan Singh Chauhan, SDPO Chaupal Raj Kumar, Block Development Officer Kupvi Vineet Thakur, station in-charge Kupvi Shiv Shakti were present on behalf of the administration.
Kulbhushan left behind 25-year-old wife Neetu, two-and-a-half-month-old son, father, mother and sisters.
