International Summer Festival Shimla 2023: A Fusion of Local and Bollywood Artists
The Shimla International Summer Festival is set to begin on June 1st and will continue until June 4th. This festival showcases the talent of local Himachali artists along with renowned Bollywood artists, providing entertainment for the audience. The district administration is making all the necessary preparations for the International Shimla Summer Festival, and the final list of performers for the festival has been finalized. Besides the main performances by artists, the Summer Festival also features a baby show, fancy dress competition, dog show, and other attractions.
Magic to Be Unleashed by these Artists
Shimla’s Deputy Commissioner, Aditya Negi, has announced that the Summer Festival will commence on June 1st, with the inauguration ceremony being conducted by the Governor of the state, Shiv Pratap Shukla. On June 1st, the renowned Himachal Police Band, “Harmony of Pines,” will present their performance as part of the festival’s program. The second cultural evening will be dedicated to Himachali artists, providing them with an opportunity not only to showcase their art but also to elevate the name of the state through these performances.
Center of Main Attractions
During the third cultural evening, the famous Punjabi artist Satinder Sartaaj will mesmerize the audience with his magical voice. The city is already buzzing with excitement for Satinder Sartaaj’s program. In addition, in the fourth and final cultural evening, Bollywood playback singer Monali Thakur will perform. Before the main performances take place, Himachali artists will also have the opportunity to showcase their talent during these four days.
The Annual Summer Festival
Shimla’s International Summer Festival is globally renowned. Every year, the International Summer Festival is organized at Shimla’s Ridge Maidan. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event could not be held. Now, with the situation returning to normal, the district administration is once again organizing the International Summer Festival. This festival not only serves as an attraction for tourists but also draws a large number of local people. Apart from the cultural evenings, people enjoy various activities throughout the day. During this time, the Ridge Maidan in Shimla is filled with a huge crowd of tourists.
