Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the state government is going to fulfill the fifth guarantee of the Congress manifesto. Announce to give Rs 1500-1500 every month to more than five lakh women aged between 18 to 60 years from the financial year 2024-25. Social security pension for women above 60 years of age has already been increased to Rs 1500.
It will cost the state government around Rs 800 crore annually to implement this guarantee. The eligible women will soon have to fill the forms to avail benefit of this scheme.
