Six original tehsildars have been promoted to the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HAS). According to a notification issued by the Personnel Department, these promotions were made under Rule 15 of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Rules 1973, based on recommendations from the Departmental Promotion Committee and in consultation with the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.
Ajay Kumar Singh, Vivek Kumar Negi, Rajesh Kumar, Jagdish Chand, Chetan Chauhan, and Sanjit Sharma have been promoted from tehsildar positions to HAS officers. These promotions are subject to the final outcome of various cases pending in the High Court.
The newly promoted officers have been directed to exercise their options for pay fixation under FR-22 within one month from the date of order issuance. The promotions recognize the service and experience of these senior revenue officials who will now take on broader administrative responsibilities as HAS officers.
