Giving relief to thousands of students of the state belonging to minority category, the government has removed the condition of 50 percent marks for post-matric scholarship. The state government has taken this decision after the circular from the central government. A condition of 50 percent marks was kept for the scholarship to the students of Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi and Jain communities belonging to the minority community. It was mandatory for him to have 50% marks in the previous class in the subject in which he is pursuing his graduation or post-graduation. The Higher Education Department has issued a notification in this regard. Students can apply online on the National Scholarship Portal till December 15. The education department has also extended the date of application. After this, the verification of applications will be done till December 31. Joint Director Higher Education Department and Nodal Officer of Scholarship Dr. Harish Kumar said that the government provides scholarship to the students above class X. Earlier, only those students could apply online, whose marks were 50 percent. Now the government has abolished this condition.
