In view of heavy rains across Himachal Pradesh and further predictions for September 1, all educational institutions, including schools and colleges, will remain closed tomorrow in six districts of the state. The Deputy Commissioners of Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Una, Kullu, and Mandi issued orders for the closure as a precautionary measure.
The decision has been taken to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the threat of landslides, waterlogging, and disruption of transport due to continuous rainfall. Authorities have advised residents to remain alert and avoid unnecessary travel in vulnerable areas
