The state’s first virtual traffic court was inaugurated in Shimla on Thursday at District and Sessions Court Chakkar. Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court, Justice Muhammad Rafiq, Justice Sabina, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Justice Ajay Mohan Goel, Justice Sandeep Sharma, Justice Chandra Bhushan Barowalia, Justice Jyotsna Riwal Dua, Justice Satyen Vaidya and Registrar General Virendra Inaugurated the Virtual Court of Traffic Magistrate in the presence of Singh. District and Sessions Judge Sushil Kukreja said that the facility of virtual traffic court has been started for the convenience of the people. People will no longer need to come to court. With the help of software, the message will be sent directly from the court to the person concerned. By clicking on the link that came with the message, the payment of challan can be done sitting at home. With the introduction of this facility, time will be saved and there will be no formality of summons and warrants. Traffic magistrate R Mehul Sharma was present on the occasion as presiding officer. Apart from all the judges of the District and Sessions Court, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi, Superintendent of Police Monika along with the President of the Bar Association and advocates of the Court were present on the occasion.
