Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has said that 317 students of Himachal Pradesh are still stuck in Ukraine. Efforts are being made to bring every student back home safely. On Monday, the Chief Minister held a virtual conversation with the students and their parents trapped in Ukraine. The Chief Minister said that the State Government has set up a helpline for proper coordination with the people stranded in Ukraine. So far 218 people have registered on the helpline. So far 102 students from Himachal Pradesh have reached India. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is making all possible efforts for the safe return of the students trapped in Ukraine.
The Chief Minister advised the students stranded in Ukraine to strictly follow the guidelines of the Indian Embassy in Ukraine. He said that the students should leave the place only after consulting the embassy officials and the management of their respective institutions. He said that the state government was concerned about the safety of the students and was doing everything possible for their safe return. The State Government is in constant touch with the Government of India for the safe return of the students. The central government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fully aware of the situation.
