Stars of Indian Army cannot be valued by gold, says  Col. D.R. Gargey

On behalf of 7 H.P.(I) Company NCC Shimla, under the chairmanship of Commanding Officer Col.D.R. Gargey, a conference of NCC ANOs and CTOs was organized in the premises of the local degree college, Chaura Maidan (Kotshera College, Shimla) here on Wednesday. In this conference, the Commanding Officer Colonel Gargey guided all the ANOs and CTOs of NCC in the concerned school, Colleges and varsities to make NCC more better in the interest of students, national interest and for the cause of the society as well. “Inspire students and NCC cadets about the importance of NCC to college and university administration and NCC officers, CTOs, contribution to the defense of the country and society and the nation and tell this to everyone including parents and let the new generation join the army. Inspire also. Colonel D.R. Gargi said that in Himachal Pradesh, the importance of NCC and the national interest and its benefits are not yet known to the common people and promising students are deprived of the benefits of NCC and in this direction it is necessary to motivate the students in schools, colleges and universities”, said Col. D.R. Gargey while addressing the ANOs and CTOs in the conference. Col. Gargey said that all the educational institutions are requested to pay attention to the facilities for running the NCC in a better way so that the cadets can be prepared for the defense of the nation. Col. Gargey said that ANOs and CTOs play a greater role in guiding the cadets properly. Colonel D.R. Gargi said that NCC is the largest organization in the country and the cadets who have come out of it are giving their best contribution in the army and social sector. Col. Gargey said that we are proud that the Prime Minister of India, Modi also comes from NCC background and this inspiration and message will inspire the youths. Colonel Gargey said that the stars in the uniform of the Indian Army cannot be valued by gold. Present and future generations should be motivated for nation service and social service so that they can strengthen the country from every direction. Gargey said that by connecting the students with NCC activities, it would inculcate in them a sense of patriotism, patriotism and unity along with discipline and would also stay away from bad habits. During this conference, the commanding officer Col. D.R. Gargey awarded the rank of Company Senior Under Officer on behalf of 7 HP (I) Company NCC Shimla to Senior Cadet Jainwano of Sanjauli College and entrusted her to train the cadets of other educational institutions of Shimla in NCC activities and drills. Col. Gargey said that this type of appointment was made for the first time in NCC in Himachal Pradesh. Col. Gargey said that this opportunity will continue to be available to better cadets every year. In the conference, all the ANOs and CTOs gave their suggestions to make NCC more strong, which were accepted by the Commanding Officer Colonel Gargey and said that if they face any daunting challenge regarding NCC pursuits in their educational institutions, they should tell through their Principals and Vice Chancellors so that there should be no dearth of facilities for NCC. There should be separate NCC offices in educational institutions, computers with internet facilities, printers, inter-college competition, NCC enrollment, taking NCC classes by ANO and senior cadets and PI staff, NCC office boards, for inspection of commanding officers in all educational institutions; visiting of commanding officer in each educational institution, and meeting after every six months about NCC, issues of ANOs, CTOs and cadets were discussed in detail to redress any kind of problem and on the spot the commanding officer Col.D.R. Gargey tackled and expressed happiness and gratitude for the better suggestions. Expressing gratitude to the media, Colonel Gargey said that at present time, the role of media is very big in every field and through this the message and inspiration of NCC reaches every youth and along with message and motivate and exhort to studies, sports, passion of national service and social service in them.
