Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has gifted the people of the state a reduction of Rs 2 in the minimum bus fare. In the ‘Nari ko Naman’ program organized in Dharamsala, the Chief Minister has announced to reduce the minimum rent from Rs 7 to Rs 5. In this program, 50 percent discount on fare for women in HRTC buses was launched. Addressing the program saluting women, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that where women are worshipped, There the gods reside. He said that this thing is a reality in Devbhoomi Himachal. He said that in today’s time women are working in every field ahead of men. The government has taken many steps to take them further and this trend will continue. Jai Ram Thakur also announced to fill up the posts of 25 women drivers for ‘Ride with Pride’ taxi service of HRTC operating in urban areas. He also said that the shortage of funds for new bus depots of HRTC at different places would also be met.
