Rahul Kumar, a 2016-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer and Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, has been appointed Managing Director of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC). He has assumed charge and will now oversee the administrative functioning of the corporation from its headquarters in Shimla.
Before this posting, Kumar was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur district.
According to the notification, he has been given the responsibility in place of Shivam Pratap Singh, a 2017-batch IAS officer, who had been holding additional charge of the post of HRTC Managing Director.
