Writer Naveen Haldunvi, writer of 14 books in Pahari language, passes away

Naveen Haldunvi, a Pahari language poet, litterateur and thinker of Chhatrauli village of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, died on Saturday. He was battling a serious illness for some time. On Saturday, people bid him a final farewell with moist eyes. Naveen Haldunvi was born on 24 December 1949 in Panjral village of Haldun Valley of Kangra. This place is presently absorbed in Pong Dam. A total of 17 books of Masters Hindi Prabhakar Naveen Haldunvi were published, out of which 14 books were in Pahari and 3 in Hindi language. American citizen Richardson is doing research on his book ‘Bolla Karde Pahar’.

Apart from this, Pahadi books like Kudma De Nakhre, Kalhu Nikharga Rang, Atharva Vagadita, Lok Glande Saare, Mainjhar, Mane Di Bhadas, Eh Duniya, Bharate Nai Pyar etc. have been very popular. Apart from this, his works have also been published by Sahitya Akademi Delhi and National Book Trust. Naveen Haldunvi, popular from the leader of Pahari language, has been awarded with many awards including Bagar Pahari Sahitya Samman, Surabhi Sahitya Shri, Sahitya Deep, Acharya Vishisht Samman, State Level Shesh Smriti Samman, Kayakalp Sahitya Shiromani Samman.
