The four-day Rally of Himalayas began on Thursday at Devlok, located at 15 Mile in Manali. The rally, organized by Himalayan Extreme Motorsport, will run till October 12 with valleys echoing to the roar of engines as participants navigate challenging mountain routes.
This adventure competition features 30 car drivers and 70 bikers who will demonstrate their speed and skill on the treacherous Himalayan trails. Manali MLA Vaneshwar Gaud flagged off the rally to mark its commencement.
The rally itinerary includes a route from Manali to Lahaul on October 10, reaching Jispa where participants will rest for the night. On October 11, the next leg will take rallyists from Jispa to Shinkula Pass, with the rally returning to Jispa by evening. On the final day, October 12, the rally will proceed from Jispa through Bathal before returning to Devlok in Manali.
The event showcases adventure motorsports in the spectacular Himalayan landscape, attracting motorsport enthusiasts who seek to test their driving and riding abilities on some of India’s most challenging mountain terrain.
