Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA) Hamirpur has issued a notification for recruitment to English and mathematics teacher posts in the Education Department. This recruitment will be done on a five-year basis in CBSE schools across the state. Selected candidates will be given a fixed monthly honorarium of Rs 30,000. Notably, these teachers will be paid salary for ten months in a year.
The online application process will start from January 31, 2026 at 10 AM, while the last date for application has been set as February 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Interested candidates can apply through the commission’s official website.
For the English teacher post, the candidate must have MA English (minimum 50 percent marks at graduation level) and B.Ed. For the mathematics teacher post, MA/MSc Mathematics with B.Ed is mandatory. Reserved category candidates have been given relaxation in marks as per rules.
The age limit has been set at 25 to 45 years, which will be calculated as per the last date of application. The selection process will be done through computer-based test/screening test, in which 120 multiple choice questions will be asked.
Selected candidates will be given a monthly honorarium of Rs 30,000, which will be payable for 10 months in the academic session. This recruitment will be done in government schools affiliated to CBSE in the state. Candidates will have to do one-time registration before applying.
The recruitment will be done in the Education Department on fixed honorarium basis. The recruited teachers will be PGT, so TET pass is not mandatory. There is a plan to fill a total of 800 posts of mathematics and English subject in CBSE schools. The commission will fill 624 posts, while the other 76 posts will be filled by departments related to Sainik Welfare Department, Sports and Divyang quota. Departments will also start the process of filling these posts soon.
The state government had given approval to fill these posts on January 28. The very next day after getting approval, the commission completed formalities and issued notification from the commission seeking applications from candidates. The application process will start from January 31. Dr Vikram Mahajan, Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog, said that candidates can apply from January 31.
The recruited teachers will not get benefits of government employees as this is a fixed honorarium-based contractual recruitment.
