The people of Himachal Pradesh will not be able to see the glimpse of Devbhoomi for the second consecutive year at the Republic Day celebrations to be held at Rajpath in New Delhi on 26 January 2022. The proposal of the tableau of the state sent for this function has been rejected. The central government has selected models from 14 states. Himachal’s model has lagged behind them. A proposal for a tableau depicting the developmental plans was sent by the state. This model will now be displayed in the function to be organized in the state. For the Republic Day parade on behalf of the Department of Language and Culture, a proposal for the tableau of the Dhami shooting incident was first sent.
In this proposal based on the theme of Independence Day, detailed information was given about the firing in Dhami regarding the freedom movement. Himachal’s Dhami firing was out in the first phase itself after sending proposals related to freedom fighters from many other states.
