In a key administrative move aimed at strengthening legal and tribal research infrastructure, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, has approved the filling of multiple crucial posts in the state Secretariat and tribal development offices.
As per the decision, five posts of Law Officer (English) and two posts of Law Officer (Hindi) will be filled in the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat. This step is seen as a measure to enhance the state’s legal processing efficiency in both English and Hindi mediums, ensuring smooth documentation and legal vetting across departments.
In addition to these legal appointments, the Cabinet has also sanctioned the creation and filling of three posts of Research Officer in the offices of the Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP) located at Bharmour, Pangi, and Spiti. These regions fall under the state’s most remote tribal belts and require extensive ground-level research and policy implementation support.
These appointments are part of a broader administrative restructuring and capacity-building effort by the Sukhu government, which continues to focus on strengthening governance in core legal and tribal development sectors.
