1762 JBT vacancies withdrawn from previous recruitments
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Elementary Education has withdrawn two previous recruitments totaling 1,762 JBT posts that were advertised during the previous BJP government. This includes:
- 1,295 JBT posts cancelled on July 21, 2024, and
- 467 JBT posts advertised in May 2022 under Advertisement 80.
The recruitment processes for these posts have now officially been closed. The government is likely to re-advertise these posts under the new Job Training Policy introduced recently as part of its updated recruitment framework.
What about applications submitted earlier?
Under the former BJP government, a total of 1,423 posts were advertised in May 2022 under Advertisement Code 80, which included the aforementioned 467 JBT posts. Applications were invited from September 30 to October 29, 2022, and thousands of aspirants had applied. The government has not yet clarified the status of these applications or whether a refund or transfer of data will take place under the new policy.
