The Himachal Pradesh government has carried out a sweeping administrative reshuffle, issuing transfer and posting orders for 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and 16 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers in one go.
Among the key IAS postings, Dr. Abhishek Jain, currently serving as Advisor (Regulatory Reforms) in New Delhi, has been given the additional charge of Financial Commissioner (Appeals). Jain already holds the portfolios of Principal Secretary for Finance, Planning, Economics and Statistics, and the 20-Point Programme, as well as Principal Secretary for Jal Shakti Vibhag (JSV) and Technical Education.
Sudesh Kumar Mokta, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Secretary (Cooperation). Amarjit Singh will now serve as Secretary (Town and Country Planning and Housing) while continuing to hold the additional charge of Secretary (Home). Torul S. Ravish has been posted as Director of Land Records, while Abhishek Verma takes charge as Director of Milkfed. Ajay Kumar Yadav has been appointed Managing Director of the Medical Services Corporation, and Mahendra Pal Gurjar has been posted as Director (Personnel and Finance) at the Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
Among other notable postings, Vinay Kumar, currently Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA) Kangra, will take on the additional charge of Managing Director of the State Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, Kangra. Rahul Jain has been appointed Managing Director of the State SC/ST Development Corporation, Solan, and the Women Development Corporation. He will also hold additional charge as Registrar of Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, and Administrator of Manav Bharti University, Solan.
Divyanshu Singhal has been posted as ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA) Solan, while Om Kant Thakur takes charge as Managing Director of the State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation. Gursimar Singh has been appointed Managing Director of General Industries Corporation Limited. Ishant Jaswal moves to Una as ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), and Rupinder Kaur takes a similar role in Bilaspur. Dr. Rajdeep Singh has been named Commissioner of Solan Municipal Corporation, Priyanshu Khati goes to Mandi as ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director (DRDA), Anjali Garg has been posted as SDO (Civil) Kangra, and Chandra Prakash as SDO (Civil) Mandi.
On the HAS side, 16 officers have been transferred. Aman Kumar has been appointed General Manager at HPMC, and Chet Singh takes charge as Secretary, State Transport Authority-cum-Additional Transport Commissioner. Gaurav Choudhary moves to Kangra as Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies. Vishrat Bharti, Raman Kumar Sharma, Abhishek Barwal, and Pooja Adhikari have been posted as SDMs at Kaphota, Fatehpur, Ghumarwin, and Nagrota Bagwan respectively.
Shilpi Bekta has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Public Works Department and will additionally take charge as Secretary of the State Election Commission. Siddharth Acharya has been named Executive Director of HRTC, Surajit Singh goes to Kullu as ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director, and Sunny Sharma has been posted as SDM Kupvi. Naresh Kumar Verma takes charge as Additional Director at Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Nerchowk. Ekta Kapta has been appointed Additional Director of Medical Education and Research, Shimla, and Hitesh Azad moves to Shimla as Assistant Settlement Officer.
